George Willen Sanders passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at the age of 80.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice at 1:00 p.m. Deacon David Guillory will officiate.

George is survived by his wife Marvel Matt Sanders of Eunice; two daughters, Rebecca Crowder of Eunice and Cynthia Sanders and companion Steve Perry of Moss Bluff; three sons, Anthony "Tony" Sanders and wife Mindy of Lafayette, Bobby Sanders and wife Rachel of Moss Bluff, and Greg Sanders of Lake Charles; one sister, Elnora Langley of Eunice; one brother, Clyde Sanders and wife Margaret of Thibodeaux; one brother-in-law, Zeke Brown and wife Beth of Sunset; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Clyde Sanders and Martina McGee Sanders and one brother, Pratt Sanders.

George gave his life to his family and was loved by all. He retired from the Oil and Gas Industry after 50 years. He loved to hunt and fish with his boys and was an avid fan of Saints and LSU football.
