Genevieve Benoit Watson died on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the age of 91.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Msg. Robert Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Genevieve is survived by one son, Jim Watson and wife Kay of Lake Charles; one brother, Yves Benoit of Eunice; three grandchildren, Philip Watson, Jonathan Watson, and Eric Blount; and four great-grandchildren, Adelie Watson, Elliot Blount, Annelise Watson, and Layla Blount.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, John Benoit and Armenia Fall Benoit; her husband Dudley Watson; three brothers, Paul Benoit, Charley Benoit, and Emory Benoit; and four sisters, Dorothy Rozas, Virgina Duplechain, Isabell Daigle, and Louise Bodin.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. by Deacon Chuck Ortego. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Thursday for visitation until the time of service.
