Rev. Dr. Spiller Milton
Joy and family, my family sends our love and prayers. Our families shared a lot of happy times during the '80s and '90's when we were all a part of the Lake Charles District. Your dad use to say the perfect sermons were short sermons, so he never preached a bad sermon because all his sermons were short. He enjoyed saying he was elder because my birthday is August 2, 1939. We often had a "summer join birthday party." Your dad loved to eat and laugh. The thing he loved most was you, Joy. He never grew weary of talking about how beautiful you were, how smart you were, and how blessed he was to have you as a daughter. May Gary rest in the arms of our loving father. May you and your family come to know that peace of God that leads us into the joys God has yet to reveal to each of you.
