Frederick "James" Carrier passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the age of 79. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 16, 2024 at St. Mathilda Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mathilda Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held Friday at Quirk & Son from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. There will be a Rosary prayed by family at 9:30 AM. "James" is survived by his wife, Hilda Soileau Carrier; two daughters, Erica Carrier, Jennifer Shaw (Devin); six brothers, Charles Carrier (Denice), Michael Carrier (Gay), Roderick Carrier (Sandy), Wendell Carrier (Rose), Chris Carrier (Wanda), Kevin Carrier (Mary); four sisters, Diana Allison, Patricia Bellard, Ozanna Gardner (Larry) Jeanne Myles (Marvin); five grandchildren, Kaylyn Carrier, Camella Calliet, William Carrier, Robyn Carrier and Khazer Shaw. He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Carrier; his parents, Freddie and Margie Tate Carrier; one brother, Johnnie Carrier.
