Francis Racie Doucet Ortego passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the age of 92. A private Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Reed Cementery in Basile with Deacon Robbie Leger officiating. "Racie" loved and enjoyed all of her friends, her quilting club, cooking, baking and family gatherings. Her family and grandchildren were her greatest joys. Racie is survived by one son, James Roland Ortego; one brother, James Doucet; one sister, Doris Guillory; one daughter in law, Frances Ortego; five grandchildren, Kevin Ortego (Lora), Monica LaFleur (Tony), William Ortego (Bridget), David Ortego (Victoria), Christopher Ortego (Rachel) and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Ortego; her parents, Harry and Denise Leger Doucet; one son, Kenneth Ortego; one brother, Phillip Doucet and one daughter in law, Mary Ann Fuselier Ortego.
