Forrest Fontenot, Jr., passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the age of 72.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 4, 2016 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Father Alphonse Thanise will officiate. Burial will follow at Ardoin Cemetery.

Forrest is survived by his wife, Maxie Manuel Fontenot of Mamou; daughter, Hazel Suzanne Manuel and husband Kenneth "Foot" of Mamou; two sons, Eddie Jay Fontenot and his wife Nicole of North Carolina and Paul Fontenot and his wife Heather of Mamou; brother, Ted Fontenot of Drexel Hill, PA; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Fontenot SR. and Francis Manuel Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM. The funeral home will reopen on Monday at 8:00 AM for visitation until the time of service.
