Evelyn Louise Peloquin Benoit passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at the age of 68.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Bro. David Plunkett will officiate. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Kenneth Benoit; two sons, Hulin J. Ryder and companion Lisa of Eunice and Will J. Ryder and wife Jennifer of Eunice; three daughters, Celina Fontenot and husband Gary of Chataignier, Anna Fontenot and husband Michael of Eunice, and Madonna Langley and husband John of Durald; five stepdaughters, Phyllis Doguet and husband Chad of Rayne, Tracey Schexnayder and husband Bryan of Indian Bayou, Lily Brown and husband Paul of Lafayette, Nicole Benoit and companion Curtis Oakes of Lafayette, and Monique Nezat & husband Chad of Ridge; two sisters, Juanita Arnold of Eunice and Joycelyn Bordelon of Basile; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; and eight step-great grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Peloquin, Sr. and Lillie Gautreaux Peloquin and one brother, Sidney Peloquin, Jr.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday for visitation until the time of service.
