A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Eva Jane Lavergne, 74, will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011, at 1:30 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church , Msg. Robert Romero will officiate , with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.Eva died on Friday, January 14, 2011, at Opelousas General Hosptial. A rosary will be prayed by Fr. Kendal Faulk on Sunday evening at 5:30 PM. Eva is survived by her daughter, Belinda Manuel and her husband Karl of Eunice; her son Darrell Soileau and Pris of Eunice; a sister, Rose Vidrine of Metarire; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Octave and Elizabeth Bacon Fuselier; her first husband, LD Soileau; second husband, Carroll Lavergne; 4 brothers, Herbert, Lawrence, Perry & Joseph Soileau; sisters, Rena Lee and Mable Gaspard.
