Elton Joseph Bellard was born on November 13, 1931 and passed away on December 6, 2012 at the age of 81.

Funeral Services will be held at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile on Friday December 7, 2012 at 3 PM. Brother Orville Rogers will officiate. Entombment will follow at St. Augustine Mausoleum.

Elton is survived by his wife, Hazzy G. Bellard of Basile; one son, Carl Wayne Bellard of Basile; three step sons, Steve Soileau of Patterson; Wilson Soileau of Breaux Bridge; John Soileau of Morgan City; three daughters, Bobbie Jean Lucas of Basile; Alida Comeaux and husband Wilfred of Basile; Donna Johnson and husband Bill of Starks; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Sara Chaddick Bellard; one daughter, Debra Marcantel; one brother, Nelton Bellard; one sister, Una Mary Turner.

As requested by the family, visitation will be held on Thursday December 6, 2012 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile from 3 PM to 11 PM. The funeral home will reopen on Friday December 7, 2012 from 8 AM until services. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
