Elta Ledet Gallien passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at the age of 81. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet with Father Stanley Jawa officiant. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Word Ministries in Eunice. Elta is survived by her husband Sterling S. Gallien, Sr.; two sons, John Gregory Gallien and wife Charlene, Sterling S. Gallien, II and wife Donna; three daughters, Deadra Gobert Henry and husband Edward, Michelle Jean Pierre and husband Troy, Helen LeDay and husband Patrick; one sister, Mary Rideau; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Fontenot Ledet and Theo Ledet, Sr.; seven brothers, Lester Ledet, Duewell Ledet, Joseph Ledet, Kelly Ledet, Dallas Ledet, Mitchell Ledet, Theo Ledet, Jr.; three sisters, Della Guillory, Dorothy Green, Lois Fisher.
