Elsie Catorie Johnson passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014, at the age of 85. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 1:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Courville Cemetery in Eunice.

Elsie is survived by two sons, Tommy Johnson of Eunice and Tony Johnson of Ville Platte; one daughter, Elaine Miller of Eunice; one daughter-in-law, Diane Johnson; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Emond Catorie and Stelly Bordelon Catorie; her husband, Deno Johnson; one son, Jimmy Johnson; one daughter, Jenny Johnson; one brother, Russell Catorie; two sisters, Elrina Catorie and Mary Doucet.

At the request of the family, a visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014, from 9 AM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen at 8 AM on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, for visitation until time of service.
