Elridge Lantier passed away on Sunday April 7, 2013 at the age of 88. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 11, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Father Cedric Sonnier will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Elridge is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Young and her husband Michael of Eunice and Connie Hays and her husband Woody of Solana Beach, CA; one son, John Al Lantier and his wife Pao of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Bea Dowden of Lake Charles; six grandchildren, Lisa Jecker, Kim Evje, Scott Wasmuth, Ryan Young, William Hays, and C.J. Hays; seventeen great grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa, and Emma Jecker, Dante Evje, Preston, Lauren, and Benjamin Wasmuth, Aly, Patrick, Nick, Paige, Diego, and Victoria Hays, Alex and Sara Grace Young, Bryson Fontenot, and Conner LeBouef. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Anatolia Carrier Lantier; his wife, Leota Lantier; two sisters, Lorraine Fontenot and Vinice LeJeune; and one brother, Bennett Lantier. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday April 10, 2013 from 9 AM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon David Guillory at 6 PM that evening. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday at 8 AM for visitation until time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
