Ellen "Dale" Jenkins Celestine passed away on Monday April 1, 2013 at the age of 62. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday April 3, 2013 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church in Basile. Pastor Dwayne Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at First Baptist Cemetery in Basile. Dale is survived by her husband, Sammy Celestine of Elton; two daughters, Laurie Hebert and her husband Darrel of Pineville and Marla Bowles and her husband Chad of Canadian, TX; two sons, Kip Bergeaux and his wife Sonia of Basile and Jody Guillory and his wife Deidra of Mamou; one son-in-law, Earl Fuselier; two sisters, JoAnne J. McCauley of Carencro and Amy Manuel of Austin, TX; four brothers, Harry Lee Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, John Jenkins, and Greg Jenkins, all of Basile; seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cullen Lee and Adalean Fruge Jenkins; one daughter, Denette Fuselier; and one brother, Newburn Ronnie Jenkins. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile starting at 3 PM and open until service time on Wednesday. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
