Elizabeth Laden Fontenot passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the age of 76. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Basile. Entombment will follow in St. Augustine Mausoleum. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM when a Rosary will be prayed, followed by Services at Quirk & Son of Basile. Elizabeth is survived by three sons, Ernest Fontenot, Jr., Kevin Fontenot and wife Sherry, Joseph Fontenot and wife Lisa; eight grandchildren, Brittany Christ and husband Hunter, Brooke Fontenot, Hunter Fontenot, Kristin Fontenot, Scott Salsbury, Elizabeth Hayes, Briley Dawn Fontenot, Travis Pousson; fourteen great-grandchildren, Emmett, Crew, Elenor, Hank, Stella, Remi, Ellie, Branson, Bailey, Madison, Jayce, Victoria, Brenzley and Lydia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest P Fontenot, Sr.; grandson Taylor Lane Fontenot.
