Eldean Smith Devillier passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the age of 90. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Thomas More Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held form 2:30 PM until 9 PM on Monday, May 15, 2023 with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Tuesday until time of departure for Services. Eldean is survived by four sons, Carl Devillier and wife Patsy, Terry Devillier, David Devillier and wife Monica, Blaine Devillier and wife Jo; one daughter, Sheryl Devillier; one sister, Norma Jean Vidrine; fifteen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalvas Devillier; her parents, Abel and Celima Smith; five brothers, Bennett Smith, Robert Smith, Nestor Smith, Joe Smith, Ansley Smith; one sister, Letha LaFleur.
