A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Edna C. Gaspard on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at 1 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with entombment to follow at St. Paul Mausoleum. Fr. Cedric Sonnier will officiate. A rosary will be prayed Saturday evening at 6:30 PM by Fr. Cedric Sonnier. Edna passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She is survived by her two sons, Harold Gaspard and his companion Yvonne Janise of Mamou and Kenneth Gaspard and wife Kim of Eunice; three daughters, Margaret Bergeron of Eunice, Glenda Walker and husband Kenneth of Ville Platte and Mackie Hicks and companion Clint Fontenot ; one sister, Ella Mae Smith of Basile; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Gaspard; parents, Orville and Amanda Thibodeaux Cormier; two brothers, DV and Dewey Cormier; a sister, Mildred Prejean; son-in-law, Melvin Bergeron; granddaughter, Roxanne Saucier; grandson, Kevin Gaspard; step great granddaughter, Rachel Lyons; great great grandson, Jayden Freeman.
