Today Dudley Courville, Dad to those who knew him best, stepped out into the most amazing adventure of all. He has, once again, picked up his dobro and taken his seat among the heavenly choir. We mourn his loss but for a moment, for we have the blessed assurance that, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Savior, we will one day celebrate the greatest family reunion ever held. Farewell and God speed! May your fingers be quick and light on your strings, may you always strike the perfect chord and may our Lord find joy in all the music you play. Dudley Pierre Courville passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, at the age of 80 . A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday , April 24, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice. Reverend Mike Fontenot will officiate. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM until 10:00PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00AM until time of services. Dudley is survived by his daughter, Mona Courville and husband Marty, two step sons; David M Young and wife Harriet Frey Young, M. Cody Young, one sister, Dula Johnson, one grandson, Jacob C Cangelosi. Dudley was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Courville and Nita Smith Courville, his wife, Wilda Doucet Courville, three brothers; L.C. Courville, Ernest Courville, Harry Courville, two sisters; Eula Mae Roy, Verna Miller. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
