Dr. Macy Briana Ceasar was born on September 28, 1997 in Baton Rouge, LA at prematurely at 28 weeks gestation. God called her home on July 29, 2026 in Henderson, Nevada where she was a practicing Veterinarian at the age of 28. .
Macy is a 2015 Graduate of Eunice High School as Historian. Graduated as Student Marshall of Southern University College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences in 2019. Macy was accepted in both LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine. Macy ultimately decided to attend LSU to stay closer to family due to her ailing grandmother Elta who had Alzheimer’s Disease and to stay close to her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Macy received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Macy received various awards throughout her career including the following: Four Paws Pet Cremation Service Scholarship, Zoetis Foundation Veterinary Student Scholarship Award, Purina Minority Scholarship, LSU SVM Dean’s Circle Scholarship, LSU Board of Director’s Scholarship, Agriculture Land Grant Award as Top Scholar at Southern University.
From a young age Macy was very passionate about caring for animals. She especially loved horseback riding and even competed in both American and European Horse Riding Competitions. She believed that all of God’s creations deserved respect. Macy was a living servant for the Lord and volunteered her time helping animals in need. Macy’s most memorable internships were at Chimp Haven in Keithville, LA and Wild Horse Sanctuary in California.
Macy leaves to cherish her memories with her parents Helen & Patrick LeDay, and Darren Ceasar. She is also survived by two sisters Taylor Blair LeDay and Danae LeDay, one brother Rontrevius Venezia and one God Sister London Martin.
Also Cherishing her memories are her fur babies, Ellie, Pumpkin , and Willow, their dedicated Aunt Caryn Miller, three nephews Austin, Amari, Rontrevius Jr. ,three nieces, Aubrey, Alexandra and the youngest Angel whom she shares the same birthday of 09/28.
Although her life was short it was a fulfilled life. Macy’s premature birth led to many complications and all odds were against her. She stayed months in NICU and required multiple surgeries throughout her early life. Doctors stated that she would never walk or talk. Macy surpassed all odds, worked hard and became a Veterinarian. Macy traveled across the world providing voluntary Veterinarian care to those in need. Macy brought joy to everyone and loved spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews. Macy enjoyed traveling the world, being in nature and drinking coffee. She enjoyed various trips to the Grand Canyon and Colorado River. She inspired others to pursue Veterinary Medicine and will have a lasting legacy of dedication, commitment and hard work in the field of Veterinarian Medicine.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Quirk & Son Chapel with Pastor Terryl Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
Visitation will be held the same day at Quirk & Son Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until time of Services.
Any donations monetary or dog/cat treats and toys can be brought to the Funeral Home at the time of service for the continuation of care for her fur babies, Ellie, Pumpkin and Willow.
