Douglas Troy Bertrand, 45 of Eunice, Louisiana born Saturday, April 17, 1965 in Lafayette, died on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, Louisiana.

He was the son of Gary Bertrand and Anna Savant Bertrand of Mamou, La. He was the husband of Arlene Deville Bertrand of Eunice, La.

Also surviving are one son, Gregory Shawn Bertrand & (Amy) of Lake Charles, LA, one daughter, Heather Dawn Bertrand of Eunice, LA, one brother, Randall Scott Bertrand of Mamou, LA, one sister, Rhonda Michelle B. Morein of Mamou, LA. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Burley & Joyce Bertrand; maternal grandparents, Arthur & Teotis Savant. A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. Cedric Sonnier will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial to folllow in St. Paul Cemetery, Eunice, LA. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, with a rosary @ 7:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. Street of Eunice. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 AM Wednesday, December 29, 2010 for a visitation until the service at 11:00 AM.
