Donald D. Martel passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023 at the age of 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Sam Fontana Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023 from noon until 9:00 PM at Quirk & Son with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by David Guillory. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Tuesday until time of Services. Donald is survived by his wife, Janet Heinen Martel; three sons, Shannon Martel and wife Candase, Brad Martel and wife Tanna, Scott Martel; one daughter, Melissa "Missy" Dubois and husband Chris; one brother, John Earl Martel and wife Betty; three sisters, Laura Martel, Lou Myers and husband Tommy, Diane Bihm and husband Glenn; thirteen grandchildren, Drake Dubois and wife Lainey, Vivian Dubois and fiancé Drew, Ann Marie Dubois, Garrett Dubois, Wyatt Dubois, Gage Martel, Maddix Martel, Annaliese Martel, Emmalyn Martel, Kevin McDonald, Brayden Martel, Brycen Martel, Branna Martel; two great-grandchildren, Briley Dubois, Grant Dubois; Godchildren, Brandon Myers and Mary Heinen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Veillion and Virginia LeDoux Martel; two brothers, Vinnie Martel and Jimmy "Breezy" Martel. Pallbearers will be Drake Dubois, Garrett Dubois, Wyatt Dubois, Gage Martel, Maddix Martel, Kevin McDonald. Honorary pallbearers are Brayden Martel and Brycen Martel.
