Donald Ray Fontenot, Sr. passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the age of 64.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. Time is pending. Burial will follow at Ashford Cemetery in Basile.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Istre Fontenot of Jennings; five sons, Michael, Mark, Donald Jr., Myron, and Chris; one daughter, Anna; three sisters, Cassie LeBleu, Ramon Fontenot, and Priscilla Daigle; twenty grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Fontenot and Ellie Manuel Fontenot; three brothers, Ronald Fontenot, Mike Fontenot, and B.O. Fontenot ; sisters, Ella Ruth Fontenot, Mercie Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 AM Tuesday for visitation until time of service.
