Donald "Jean" Fontenot passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at the age of 87. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Father Sam Fontanta officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of Services on Tuesday. Donald "Jean" was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a Eunice Volunteer Fireman for more than 25 years. He also served in the National Guard. "Jean" is survived by two daughters, Judy Young and her husband, Phillip and Debbie Reaux; one sister, Marsha Krueger; four grandchildren, Ben Young and wife Shelly, Jonathan Reaux and wife Carmen, Carolyn Young, Hillary Young and fiance Matt Sarver; three great-grandchildren, Grant Young, Molly Young and Jonathan Wayne Reaux. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona "Mona" Guillory Fontenot; his parents, Polan Fontenot and Evana Moore Fontenot; one brother, Ernest "Ray" Fontenot. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Eunice Community Health Center.
