David Wayne Ortego passed away on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at the age of 62. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday May 30, 2013 at 1 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Pastor Ron LaCombe will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. David is survived by two daughters, Nikki Thevis and husband Dewey of Broussard and Holly Ortego of Eunice; one son, David "Bubba" Ortego and wife Tanya of Eunice; one sister, Susan Roberie of Pine Point; four grandchildren, Hunter Thevis, Rheagan Ortego, Tanner Thevis and Rainie Belle Ortego. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey Ortego and Isabelle Vidrine Soileau; his wife, Hazel Dietz Ortego; and one sister, Cynthia Ortego. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at 3 PM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen at 8 AM on Thursday for visitation until time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
