David "Cat" Lewis Boone, Sr. passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014, at the age of 74.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. Apostle Sylvester Murphy will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.

David is survived by four sons, David Boone, Jr. and wife Clarice of Chataignier, Jody Boone of Eunice, Madison Boone of Eunice, and Nicklaus Boone of Eunice; four daughters, Kayler Boone of Eunice, Bridgette Roy & husband Chuck of Eunice, Jolene Boone of Eunice, and Samantha Boone of Eunice; four brothers, John Boone of Eunice, Sanders Boone of Eunice, Tave Boone of Eunice, Dudley Boone of Church Point; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Gustin Boone and Josephine Sonnier Boone; his wife, Shirley Johnson Boone; one brother, Leon Boone; one sister, Inez Fruge; one grandson, Dustin Boone.

At the request of the family, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, from 10 AM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen on Wednesday at 8 AM for visitation until time of service.
