David Anthony Gaspard, a cherished family man, passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born on December 17, 1951, in Mamou, Louisiana, and spent his life enveloped in warmth, humor, and the joy of family gatherings.

David was known for his friendly and outgoing nature. He found great pleasure in organizing cookouts, where he fostered an atmosphere of togetherness and joy for his loved ones.

David's legacy is carried on by his two sons, Jere David Gaspard (Monica) and Matthew Troy Gaspard (Mallory), as well as his two daughters, Sky Gaspard Noel (George Byron) and Brooke Ashley Gaspard; two brothers, James Gaspard and Shirley Raphael Gaspard; four sisters, Janet Gaspard, Martha Depril, Margaret Dunbar and Debbie Knight (Richard). He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Aaron, Emily, Ayla, Nathael, London, Ty, Wesley, and Lily, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Gaspard and Marie Courville Gaspard, and three brothers—Wilbur Gaspard, Kenneth Gaspard, and Greg Gaspard—alongside a sister, Cecilia Gaspard Darbonne.

David's memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. His spirit, vibrant personality, and love for family will continue to inspire and comfort those he leaves behind.
