Darrel Scot Toepfer passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014, at the age of 54. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Eunice. Darrel is survived by his parents, Ernst Toepfer and Rose Schmeltekopf Toepfer; his wife, Jennifer Bourgeois Toepfer; three sons, Adam Toepfer of New Iberia, John Toepfer of New Iberia, and Luke Toepfer of Eunice; one daughter, Sara Toepfer-Smith and husband Michael of Pineville; two brothers, Randal Toepfer and wife Claire of Eunice and Ernst Toepfer III and wife Monica of Corpus Christi, Texas. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Eunice from 12 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
