Clifton Pierre Fruge, Sr. passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014, at the age of 77. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Oaks Cemetery in Chataignier, La. Clifton is survived by two sons, Clifton P. Fruge, Jr. and wife Linda of Kermit, TX and Kirk Fruge and wife Rhonda of San Angela, TX; three daughters, Sandra F. Sonnier and husband Darryl of Kermit, TX, Christine Fruge of Indianola, MS; and Nidra Thibodeaux and husband James of Eunice; two brothers, Hilton Fruge and wife Diane of Moss Bluff, La. and Joe Fruge and wife Tracey of Moss Bluff, La; two sisters, Thelma F. Richard and husband Wayne of Crowley, La. and Lillian F. Dupre and husband Danny of Point Blue, La., twelve grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren. Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Fruge and Corinne Picard Fruge; his wife, Greta Veillon Fruge; five brothers, John Fruge, Edgar Fruge, Leroy Fruge, Charlie Fruge, and Willard Fruge; and four sisters, Elmer Smith, Lillie Morien, Agnes Austin, and Bernice Fruge. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday for visitation until the time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
