Clienus "CJ" Israel, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at the age of 59.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

CJ is survived by his wife, Cheryl McDaniel Israel of Eunice; four sons, Acel McDaniel of Eunice, Jacob Israel of Eunice, Matthew Israel of Maine, and Michael Israel of Eunice; three sisters, Sandra Ryder of Baton Rouge, Linda Fontenot of Mamou, and Susan Rafferty of Pass Christian, MS; and six grandchildren.

CJ was preceded in death by his parents, Clienus Israel, Sr. and Julie Darbonne Marcantel; one brother, James Israel; and one brother-in-law, Lionel Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Gary Gaudin. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday for visitation until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
