C.J. Willis Matte passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the age of 77. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Father Clinton Sensat will officiate. At the request of family, visitation will begin on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice with the Funeral Home remaining open all night and until time of Services on Monday. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, May 9, 2019 at 6:00 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin. C.J. is survived by his wife; Bertha Boone Matte, two sons; James Todd Matte and wife Melissa, Christopher Troy Matte and wife Ginger, one daughter; Tammy Sarrazin and husband Ronny, twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. C. J. was preceded in death by his parents; Willis Matte and Orelia Thibodeaux Matte, three sisters; Irene Courville, Aline Matte, Cecile Matte, one grandson; Brock Ryan LeBouef, one granddaughter; Elizabeth Sarrazin.
