Cecile "Faye" Prejean Dies, born on February 1, 1955, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. She was a beloved figure in her community, whose warmth and kindness touched many lives. Faye's legacy is rooted in her unwavering love for her family and friends.

Faye was a gifted seamstress, known for her creativity and attention to detail in her work. Her talents extended beyond sewing; she was a voracious reader, often found immersed in a book. Faye had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, enjoying camping and fishing, activities that brought her much joy and relaxation. Music also held a special place in her heart, as she appreciated all genres.

In addition to her many interests, Faye was particularly proud of her love for animals, especially teacup yorkies, which she bred for many years. This endeavor not only showcased her dedication to the well-being of these animals but also reflected her compassionate nature.

She is survived by her companion, Daniel Richard; her two sons, Joseph "Darby" Fontenot and his wife Tracy, and Damien Dies; her daughter, Desiree Dies; her sister, Tina Prejean; her sister-in-law, Cynthia Prejean; and her cherished grandchild, Jaxon Fontenot. Faye's love for them and her devotion as a mother, sister, and grandmother was evident in everything she did.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Prejean and Virgie Soileau Prejean, who undoubtedly instilled in her the values of compassion and community that she shared so generously with others, as well as her brother, Kenneth Prejean.
