Cecile Arabie Deshotel passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, at the age of 91. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Jennings. Rev. Michael Mille' will officiate. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Tuesday May 1, 2018 at 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 AM until time of services. Cecile is survived by two sons; Harold Deshotel, Russell Deshotel, five daughters; Elaine Mille', Brenda Moreau, Sandra Coulon, Nancy Lecoq, Yvonne Rheams, four sisters; Iris Langley, Ethel Hale, Rose LaFleur, Mildred Vincent, twenty-four grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren. Cecile was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Deshotel, Jr., one son, Hilary James Deshotel, one daughter; Jeanette Miller, one grandson, Zachary N. Deshotel, one great grandchild, Emily Rose Caballero, her parents, Paul Arabie Sr. and Amalie LeJeune Arabie, one sister, Ruby Matt, two brothers; Anthony Arabie and Paul Arabie Jr.. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
