Carl Ray Martel passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at the age of 74. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Sam Fontanta Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held at Quirk & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by Wayne Fruge. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Thursday until time of departure for Services. Carl is survived by one son, Dustin Martel (Tina); two daughters, Regina Berzas (Peter), Sunshine Ortego (Michael); one brother, Ganor Martel (Rose); two sisters, Sharon Janise, Renee Cazayoux (Kurt); eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, Micala, Breann, Cora, Jocelyn, Jolie, Elijah; five great-grandchildren, Meredith, Riggs, Finn, Pippin and Shiloh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Ethel Sylvester Martel.
