Calvin Manuel, from Chataignier, passed away on Wednesday November 14 at the age of 75 after a prolonged illness. A service will be held on Saturday, December 15 at 10:00 am at Quirk and Son funeral home in Eunice. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate.

Calvin enjoyed the outdoors and would often be found hunting and fishing with friends and family in his youth. He was very patriotic and known for organizing events and parties to celebrate America's holidays. Calvin retired in 2008 from the State of Texas, where he served as a corrections officer for 10 years.

Since retirement he enjoyed travel, camping, fishing and passionately watching LSU Tiger Football.

Calvin is survived by his two daughters; Lisa Stamm and husband Patrick, Kim Sykora and husband Chris, one son; Mark Manuel and wife Ashley, two brothers; Wayne Manuel and wife Glenda, Douglas Manuel and wife Marla, mother; Florence Manuel, and 3 grand children; Kyle Kinchen, Rhett Sykora and Tyler Sykora.

Calvin was preceded in death by his wife Lynda Manuel and father Douglas Manuel. Quirk and Son funeral home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
