Burnette Darbonne passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the age of 62. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home at 1 pm. Deacon David Guillory will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.

Burnette is survived by his wife, Carlene Ortego Darbonne of Eunice; a son, Scott Darbonne of Eunice; a daughter, Renee D. Bult & husband Derek of Eunice; two brothers, Randy Darbonne of Kingwood, TX, and Darnell Darbonne of Ville Platte; three sisters, Wanda Tate of Breaux Bridge, Pat Fontenot of Ville Platte, and Charlene Johnson of Ville Platte; four grandchildren, Trent Bult, Libby Bult, Sarah Darbonne, and Chloe Darbonne.

Burnette was preceded in death by his parents, Hosea Darbonne and Mazel Atalles Darbonne; a grandson, Garret Bult.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 4 PM to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen at 8 AM Thursday for visitation until time of service.
