Burgess Norbert Veillon passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at the age of 82. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at 11:00 AM. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Chataignier. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Fr. Blaine Clemont will officiate. Burgess is survived by one son, Damien J. Veillon and finace' Christine, three daughters; Sheila Pitre and husband Linton, Krystal Crader and husband Micah, Jada Parker and husband Mark, one sister, Hazel LeBlanc, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Burgess was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Veillon and Azile Courville DeMary, his wife, Loretta B. Veillon, two brothers; Freddie Fontenot, Tonas Veillon and one sister, Helen Wallace. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
