Tim Mcnulty
I met Brad through a mutual friend of my mom's. I became friends with his son Blaise (who unfortunately preceded him in passing).
My favorite memory is when he agreed I should adopt a cat from their property (pictured). I left with the beautiful cat never expecting it would be the last time I would see Brad, but the gesture is immeasurable.
Brad and I shared many special moments, usually deep intellectual conversations about life and the universe. Brad and I laughed all the time. His smile was harmonious with his heart. I will always remember his love for his kids and how much he held them in high regard. Since moving to Louisiana, he was my best friend for over 10 years. We would talk, walk the Prather garden, and from time to time we would enjoy his favorite entertainment choice - "Friday Night Smackdown."
We had many things in common, but most of all we shared intelligence. It's difficult to find people of the same mindset and intellectual capability anywhere. I was lucky to have found him.
Brad was an exceptional friend, an unbiased resource, a confidant, a chain smoker, a sounding board, a teacher, a philosopher, a tinkerer and most of all - a member of my family. I referred to him as "Uncle Brad" - but he really was more like a big brother.
I love Brad and he is sorely missed by his family, extended family, and close friends. Brad taught me to value life, take each day as it comes, remain kind, stay honest, don't be judgemental, and be yourself. Brad is irreplaceable and his memory lives strong.
Can't wait to see you again Bradford Blaise Prather.
Au revoir.
