Billy was respected in his industry by all who knew him. I had the privilege to work with him for the last year and a half. He was very smart, knowledgeable, hard working, and willing/able to help with anything. Often times I’d remind him that he was trying to explain things to me that my mind wasn’t big enough to grasp. He just laugh and do his best to dumb it down a little... We were telling stories today of all being in awe while this guy performed a tubing job - he had a marker in his mouth, tape measure bungeed to his hip, tubing benders over his shoulder and operating all of them at the same time like he was a well tuned robot.
Will miss his positive energy in our workforce and in our lives. Rest In Peace my friend

Billy was a childhood friend and we played in the woods alot making whatever we could into a fort or clubhouse many of my first memories are with him and my little brother Jody. We loved having him over amd going to his house . Its hard to believe this happned. Ima miss u brother. Billy was a great guy and loved his family . U will always be in my heart Billy Leckelt

Billy was a childhood friend of ours and we had many sleep overs at each other's house. We had such a good time around each other and many many laughs. I sure will miss him and that big smile on his face. To the Leckelt family my condolences and God bless y'all at this difficult time.

Me and Billy were together for 3yrs. We met at the skating rink when we were 14yrs old. He was sweet to me. We had a great relationship. He will be sadly missed. So very sorry for the family's loss especially his kids. They r so young and cute.

I remember Billy as the cute little blond guy we all loved. Sitting in my Sunday school class. Big eyes. Freckles.
One memory that stands out is one time our dog got her head caught in a vase that had been left outside after shooting Roman Candles from it. A frog hopped in the jar and she stuck her head in and got stuck and broke the vase off leaving a jagged collar around her neck. Rog and I called Billy for help.
He came over and he and Roger decided we would hold her while Billy got it off. He took a pair of pliers and snapped it piece by piece until she was free. Country boy can survive!
I remember his bare feet in all kinds of weather and Roger selling him his Jeep.
He was a hard working, smart young man. Cute as a button. I'm so sorry for this tragedy.
