Mrs . Spell was my homeroom teacher in the late 60s at Eunice High. I remember her as a quiet but firm teacher, as what we needed at that time in our life. RIP Mrs. Spell Jeanne Roy Rougeau EHS class of 1968 !!
Where would I be without Sis Betty. Fifty years ago, she helped me transition from classical piano to church piano! She would laugh because I would select songs in 3b - 5b. She would say, "Can't you pick an easy one!?" I know she is enjoying her move to her eternal home -- seeing family and friends that she hasn't seen in a while. One of my last posts to her included a line from the first song she taught me:
If you should get to Heaven before God calls me home,
There's one thing I'd like for you to do.
After you meet Christ the Savior and all your loved ones see,
March around the throne one time for me.
Sis Betty, you will be remembered fondly by so many -- me for sure!
