Bessie (Quirk) Gournay, age 87, of Eunice, La., died Monday, May 5, 2008, at Oak Lane Nursing Home in Eunice, La. .

She is survived by her husband Harold Gournay of Eunice, La.

Two Daughters, Gloria Byars & husband Fred of Lake Charles, La. Paula Gournay & Companion Melanie Kershaw of Lake Charles, La.

One Brother, Elroy Jones of Eunice, La.

Three grandchildren Eight great-grandchildren Preceded in death by: Parents, Kenneth Quirk, Sr. & Elizabeth Prescott Quirk Jones; Sister, Henrietta Laughlin; Brothers, Kenneth, Jr., Marshall, John, Frank, Leo, Quirk & Jessie Robert Jones.

Bessie was a life long resident of Eunice. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

Visitation is from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Monday, May 5, 2008. Funeral service will be at Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 6, 2008 with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice, La. Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. St. of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
