Berna Babineaux Mire passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the age of 81. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with David Guillory officiating. Burial will follow in Ortego Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held At Quirk & Son on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by David Guillory. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Friday until time of Services. Berna is survived by two sons, Mitchell Paul Mire (Alisha), Brent Timothy Mire; one brother, Moise "Red" Babineaux; sister-in-law, Rita Babineaux Guidry; five grandchildren, Garrett Paul Mire (Kelly), Justin Timothy Mire (Alyssa), Abbie Hebert (Cohen), Devin Mire, Timothy Mire; two great-grandchildren, Weston James Mire and Kenslie Fay Mire, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenese Joseph Mire; one son, Kenneth Joseph Mire; her parents, Tuise J Babineaux and Lorice Cormier Babineaux; two brothers, Preston Babineaux, Martin "T-Nonc" Babineaux; one sister, Bernice Higginbotham and one great- grandchild, Stetson Paul Mire.
