Bennett "Pappy" Miller, Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the age of 71. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Pastor Caleb Semien officiating. Services will also be live streamed through Word Ministries facebook page. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Bennett was a descendant of the first German Miller family to settle in Louisiana. His ancestor, John Jacob Miller (Muller), was a patriot, having served in the American Revolution. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until time of Services on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home "Pappy" is survived by his companion, Jane Villars; three sons, Benny Miller and wife Erin Peterson, Elroy J. Miller and wife Krista, Derrick Miller and companion Tara; two brothers, Bailey J. Miller, Patrick Shelby Miller and wife Doris; two sisters, Emma Guillory, Myrtle Jean Miller; sister in law, Linda Miller; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett Miller, Sr. and Rosa Belle Kibodeaux Miller; one brother, Buford J. Miller, one sister in law, Jeanette Miller, one brother in law, Bob Guillory.
