Barbara Landry Sylvester passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the age of 82. A Graveside Service for interment of her ashes will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sam Fontana officiating. Barbara had a deep devotion to the Holy Rosary. She was a loving and devoted mother, willingly sacrificing for the good of her children. Barbara is survived by one son, Jason Sylvester; three daughters, Christine Sylvester, Rachelle Mallet, Bridget Sylvester; one brother, James Landry; one sister, Anita Ardiana; ten grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, John, Braydon, Alexis, Austin, Anna, Alyssa, Emma and Cullen; nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Wayne Sylvester; one daughter, Elizabeth Claire Sylvester; her parents, Ovide and Lillian Savoy Landry; one brother, Burton Landry; one sister, Gabrielle Coker. Barbara's children would like to give a heartfelt thank you to her special friend, Karen Boyer, who was like a daughter to her.
