Barbara Lynn Fontenot Boenig passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the age of 65. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in the new St. Ann Cemetery in Mamou. At the request of family, visitation will be held the same day from 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM, at which time Deacon Gary will lead the Rosary, followed by services. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Vernon Boenig; two brothers, Lionel Fontenot, David Fontenot; two sisters, Lou Sonnier, Dorothy Soileau and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmalou and Evelyn Fuselier Fontenot; one brother, Horace Fontenot and one sister, Ethel Lee Fontenot. The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to Hope Hospice and their employees.
