Barbara Helen Duplechain Reed passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the age of 79. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Basile with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 10:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Basile with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM until time of Services on Monday at Quirk & Son's Basile location. Barbara is survived by one son, Ferral Reed; one sister, Juanita Spell; three grandchildren, Ferral "Wayne" Reed, II, Connie Fusilier, Nichole Langley; seven great-grandchildren, Emeri Reed, Kree Reed, Kannon Reed, Colby Fusilier, Amelia Fuselier, Braxten Langley, Braylen Langley; Godchild, Lahoma Chapman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willius G. Reed; parents, Cleveland Duplechain and Pauline Manuel Duplechain; three brothers, Vernon Duplechain, Herbert "Black" Duplechain, Andrus Duplechain.
