Barbara Young Cobb passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the age of 69.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Fr. Dustin Dought will officiate. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery in Kinder.

Barbara is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Lucas of Eunice, Pam Cooper of Sulphur, and Elizabeth Fontenot of Mamou; one son, Eugene Pelican, Jr. of Kinder; two brothers, Webster Young of Eunice and Bobby Young of Kinder; nine grandchildren; and eleven great–grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Young and Verna Israel Bertrand Young; her first husband, Eugene Pelican, her second husband, Sammy Cobb; one sister, Mae Thigpen, and two great-grandchildren, Acel McDaniel, Jr. and William Joseph Prudhomme

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. by Deacon Gary Gaudin. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday at 10 a.m. for visitation until the time of service.
