A funeral service for Retired Major Archie Launey, age 73, will be held on Monday, October 27, 2008, at 2 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. He will be buried with full military honors at Ortego Cemetery. Mr. Launey passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008, in Franklin, LA. He is survived by his wife Mildred "Millie" Doherty Launey of Franklin, LA. His daughter, Bobbie Launey Bergeron and son-in-law, Mark of Patterson, LA. A son, Richard Launey of Franklin, LA. 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph V. Launey and Leonice Vidrine Landreneau.
