Anthony Griffin passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at the age of 61.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Tabernacle in Eunice. Pastor James Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mathilda Cemetery in Eunice.

Anthony is survived by his wife Leona Hall Griffin of Eunice; one son, Terrell Griffin of Opelousas; three daughters, Laquinta Washington of Marreo, Sontil Washington of Eunice, and Laquisha Washington of West Wego; six sisters, Terry Holmes of Marreo, Patrice McKinnis of Kenner, Sherry Washington of Harvey, Audrey William of Agusta, MS, Betty Tobais of Eunice, and Vida DeGree of Kenner; and eight grandchildren.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Simon Griffin, Jr. and Lucille Smith Griffin; granddaughter, Jary'Ell Jessie; sister, Gina Holmes; and two brothers, Jerry Holmes and Flanders Holmes.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at Calvary Tabernacle in Eunice.
