Anita Sue Bergeaux Andrus, 67, passed away on October 10, 2026. Born on January 21, 1959, in Iota, Louisiana, Anita brought warmth and joy to those around her. Her home in Eunice was a welcoming gathering place where family came together to share meals, laughter, and cherished memories. With her love of cooking, dancing, and music, Anita had a gift for making others feel at home. She will be lovingly remembered for her generous hospitality and the happiness she shared with those she loved.

Anita was a dedicated homemaker, a role she embraced with an abundance of love and dedication. Her life revolved around her two precious daughters, Amanda Fuselier and husband John, and Kami Barnard and husband Billy. Anita's love for her family extended to her cherished grandchildren: granddaughters, Kiley Damron and Kirstin Barnard; grandson, Grant Barnard; and great grandchildren, Grayson Barnard, Kason Barnard, Bryson Barnard, and Draven Kelly. Their presence always brought her immense joy and happiness. She is also survived by two brothers, George Bergeaux, Jr. and wife Jody and Ricky Bergeaux and wife Mona; and a host of nieces and nephews. Anita was big on family gatherings and entertaining; she loved a good party, and her home was often the center of such gatherings, filled with love and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Gilbert Andrus; her parents, Jenna Dozart and George Bergeaux, Sr.; sister, Enora Doyle; and six brothers, Phillip Bergeaux, Gerald Bergeaux, Hilton Bergeaux, Robert Bergeaux, Hardie Bergeaux, Everette Bergeaux.

As per Anita's wishes, there will be no services. Yet, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and love.
