Allen Louis Murphy passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the age of 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 9:00 AM at St Edward Catholic Church in Richard with Father Wayne Duet celebrant. Burial will follow in St Edward Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home of Eunice with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin. Visitation will resume on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 8:00 AM until time of Services. Allen is survived by four sons, Burley Murphy and wife Karen, Bencent Murphy and wife Pamela, Thomas Murphy and wife Mattie, Steven Murphy; one daughter, Sharon Murphy; three sisters, Jeanette McBride and husband Howard, Evelyn Higginbotham and husband Ollie, Katherine Venable and husband Randy; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph W and Mary Jeanise Murphy; his wife, Julia Deaville Murphy; two brothers, Sherman Murphy, Michael Murphy.
