Allen Joseph Gotreaux passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the age of 82.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Pastors Dennis and Keith Gotreaux will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery.

Allen is survived by his wife, Shirley Leger Gotreaux of Eunice; one daughter, Helen Hicks and husband Burt of Eunice; three sons, Keith Gotreaux and wife Kathy of Eunice, Dennis Gotreaux and wife Faye of Eunice, and Daniel Gotreaux and wife Tina of Eunice; one sister, Clara Guidry of Eunice; two brothers, Roland Gotreaux of Iota and Nolan Gotreaux of Baton Rouge; sixteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Gotreaux, Sr. and Euna Fontenot Gotreaux; one daughter, Yvonne Veillon; two granddaughters, Dayanna Bushnell and Dana Veillon; one sister, Norma Jean Fontenot; and three brothers, Kenneth Gotreaux, Raymond Gotreaux, Jr., and Ivan Gotreaux.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. for visitation until the time of service.
